likely circa 1906, 26 3/4in. nitro reproved barrel (in 2021) engraved 'W.W. GREENER. 68 HAYMARKET. LONDON. S.W.', open sights with two folding leaf sights with white metal inlaid sight lines and marked 100, 200 and 300 yards with folding tangent sight, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, the nocksform engraved with the calibre designation, matt-top receiver ring, bolt shroud with acanthus scroll engraving, magazine cutoff, detachable box magazine with acanthus scrollwork to the base, the butt socket and triggerguard with further acanthus work, 14 3/8in. pistolgrip stock with sculpted pistolgrip, sling eyes and wave cut steel buttplate (with trap), the forepart with horn finial, weight 7lb. 8oz.
